HB Home was born out of necessity.
My name is Breno César Souza and in 2013, I was working for a construction company when I faced an unexpected challenge: I needed to undergo surgery. The timing couldn’t have been worse, as my boss was counting on me during a busy period. It took a year to schedule the surgery, and I wasn’t able to return to work for 45 days afterward. When I finally got back on my feet, I reached out to my boss, who understood my limitations and assigned me the task of providing project estimates for clients. This experience introduced me to the managerial side of the industry and taught me how to estimate jobs.

Unfortunately, when the slow season arrived in the winter, I was let go. However, this setback quickly turned into an opportunity. I realized that I possessed the knowledge and skills to start my own contracting business, and in 2014 I founded HB Home. Eager to make my mark, I reached out to old friends, colleagues, and everyone in my network to spread the word about my new venture.

One day, while I was at Home Depot picking up supplies for a small job, I bumped into an old contractor friend. He offered me my first job, and I made sure to deliver my absolute best work. This led to numerous opportunities with him and other local contractors. My unwavering focus on providing top-notch work paid off, and by 2020, my clientele had shifted from contractors to working directly with homeowners.

As our reputation grew, so did our business and the range of equipment we used. HB Home was born out of necessity but today, we are proud to serve legacy clients who have trusted us since 2016, and I am incredibly grateful for their support.
